The concept of Age grading has been around for a while, and is accepted as a method to compare achievements across age groups. Why would we want to do that? Surly it is interesting to compare your PBs as a youngster with your times as you move into the group of 'senior citizens'. But can it also be used for real comparisons across age groups - maybe even deciding who is the real winner of a race?

I have given this some thought, and written some short articles available here. I would love to get feedback on this, and maybe a good place to discuss is at the KrUltra facebook group? Or at some of the other forums for (ultra) running on the internet.

I will introduce age grading in my own races, and hope to get experience and feedback from that as well.
